Set within the same cinematic universe as Legendary’s 2014 Godzilla movie, and also brought to you by Legendary Pictures, the reboot of King Kong was released in Japan last weekend, and this retro style poster is just fantastic!
The other weekend I had to go to Tokyo for work, and on the Sunday I managed to get a few hours to wander round Akihabara checking out all the figures, models and videogames.
I came across this Shin Godzilla Premium Figure Repaint Ver in a flea-market just below the UDX theatre.
I actually saw this figure in various places around Akihabara ranging from ￥1,400 to ￥3,000, so it definitely pays to look around before buying!
After the huge success of Shin Godzilla in Japan (still being shown some 6 months after release at certain cinemas), and with the Western version of the franchise making a ton of money, Universal Studios Japan has announced their new 4D Cinema attraction…Godzilla!
As part of the cool Japan themed attractions (alongside Metal Suit Gundam and Attack on Titan), Godzilla: The Real 4D experience will run from mid-January to June 2017.
The new English language trailer for Shin Godzilla (also known as Godzilla Resurgence) was released the other day. It’s getting a Western release through Funimation. Ironically the official trailer on their website is not available to watch in Japan…go figure. But I found this version of it on YouTube.
It’s a bit all over the place, but it’s great news that the movie’s getting a release outside Japan.
I prefer this more moody, Japanese trailer though…
